The youngest ever Super2 champion, has been announced that he will join fast kiwi Matt Payne at Penrite Racing with the duo forming the youngest line-up on the Repco Supercars Championship grid in just over 18 years.
"It still hasn’t sunk in, but I’m sure come Round 1 next year that will all change. I can’t thank Stephen and Brenton Grove enough for the opportunity. I feel like I’m joining a team that’s really on the way up and there’s some really great personnel on the team with so much experience.” Kai said
Kai will also reunite with the #26, which he carried through his junior career onto the Supercars ladder. "Driving Car 26 is pretty surreal! It’s a number that I’ve raced with since karting, so I guess it’s meant to be.”
Kai will be on track at Sydney Motorsport Park on the 21st – 23rd of February for the opening round of the Repco Supercars Championship.
